9/11 - 9/19

Dot Day, September 15
Did you mark your calendar for the Dot Day Monster Mashup after school Tuesday, September 15?  We hope you'll join us for Jamba Juice, Dot art, a Dot obstacle course & monster making.  Families can start to create their monsters for the Book Fair Monster Contest (see below).   Not sure what Dot Day is?  Watch Peter H. Reynolds' book, The Dot on Tumblebooks.  username is halekula, password is eagles.

Book Fair Monster Contest
It's time to get creative!  The Hale Kula Library invites your family to enter a "monster" in the Book Fair Monster Contest.  Monsters need to be made out of toilet paper rolls, but the fun comes when you add beads, fabric, recyclables and more to personalize your monster.  (Monsters do not need to be scary)  For samples and the contest entry form, visit the library website.  Monsters are due by Friday, September 18 at 2:30 in G4.  Families are invited to start making their monsters at the Dot Day Monster Mashup on September 15 OR they can create their monsters at home.

We are collecting TP rolls and paper towel rolls for fun art projects. Thank you for saving these and dropping them into Makerspace collection boxes in front office or outside F4.

Collecting Cardboard for big events the end of this month. Donations accepted in PCNC corner of front office. Gladly take your moving boxes. Will help you unload your car, email Ellen_Petry@notes.k12.hi.us
