Fri. Oct. 31         Kindergarten Halloween parade starts at 1:15 goes around the school and ends in the big field in back of the school. Kindergarteners should wear regular clothes to school and bring costume to change into after lunch. No props that are weapons

Sat. Nov. 1    Fall Festival 1pm – 5pm in the back field. Make sure all Hale Kula students check in at the PTO booth to sign in and get credit – party for the class with most participation. All day entertainment on the stage and by the 25th ID band. Wear your costume and be a part of the costume parade at 3pm. Bouncers and games run by teachers and students - win prizes.  Start your holiday shopping with our independent vendors. Chili cook off- still accepting entries and everyone can taste and judge the homemade chili competing. Candy exchange - bring Halloween candy you don't like and exchange for candy you do want.

Mon. Nov. 3        Math Fact Challenge family event in the cafeteria from 6pm – 8pm

Tues. Nov. 4        NO SCHOOL – Election Day

                      ACS Home Alone Safety Awareness class for ages 9 – 12 at Kalakaua Community Center from 9am – 12pm. Seating is limited, parent must sign up child prior to attending; call 655-4ACS or come by ACS building across from the Richardson Pool.

Wed. Nov. 5        Chaperone Training in P14 at 8 am

                      ACS & EFMP Family Sports Day from 12 noon – 4pm at Stoneman Athletic Complex. Youth must be accompanied by an adult. Sports stations and information booths; football, soccer, golf, obstacle course, softball, basketball and more. For more information call 655-4ACS

Thurs. Nov. 6       Parent Workshop on Resiliency and Coping skills in the cafeteria 1pm – 2pm

Fri. Nov. 7          Friday school store in P14 after school – nothing over $1.00

Belated Congratulations!

A belated congratulations to the First Quarter Staff and Volunteer nominees!  We are fortunate to have caring, giving people at Hale Kula who are truly making a difference for our school.  

Congratulations to all the first quarter staff nominees! The winner of a $50 Amazon gift card, selected via a random drawing is Educational Assistant Richelle Kai. Richelle is a caring person and thinks of all children as her own. We appreciate all she does for all of our students and staff at Hale Kula!

Congratulations to Jeri Duncan for being randomly selected as the First Quarter Volunteer of the Quarter!  Mrs. Duncan is in her second year as the PTO President and she also serves on the School Community Council.  Mrs. Duncan receives a $50 Amazon gift card as the Volunteer of the Quarter. Congratulations, Jeri Duncan!

Sat. Oct. 25        Pearl City Shopping Center events. Costume contest begins at 8am at Chuck E. Cheese, with prizes for themed categories and age brackets for keiki ages 12 and under. Stevo the Clown entertains with magic and balloons during the contest and will lead a trick – or-treat parade at 10am  for more info. Call 455-2815

BYOP – Pumpkin carving for families in the cafeteria 6pm – 7:30pm
                      Bring your own pumpkin (BYOP) and your entire family. We will have tools for carving and newspapers to contain the mess.  Simple & fun activities for the kids like temporary tattoos and touch & feel boxes. PTO will have a photo station for family pic with pumpkin. Hear what’s new in the PTO and last chance to purchase Fall Festival presale tickets.

We continue to collect the Federal Impact Aid Forms.  Please turn in one for each of your children. There are extra forms in the office.  We are still missing about 80 forms.

If you have moved out of the Schofield Inn please bring your address verification to the office so that we may update your child's records.

A reminder that if you are PCSing or have moved out of our housing area please contact the office so that we may have a packet ready on your child's last day.
