Let your voice be heard and make a difference at Hale Kula next year. PTO is accepting nominations for Board positions until April 13. Just fill out nomination form and put in their box in office. It’s OK to nominate yourself. Everyone nominated will be contacted to confirm and then slate for ballot will be published.

Month of the Military Child has kicked off with a decorated bulletin board in the cafeteria.  Most students in the school wrote their name on a purple letter and together they form a great message. Check it out.

Students in grades 3-5 are invited to join Thursday Crafternoons from 2:10-4:00 in F4.  sign up in advance: https://goo.gl/ACuwGc  Cost is $1 and students have lots of fun creating with friends.  More information is on the library websitehttp://halekulalibrary.weebly.com

Fri. April 15         Purple Up – Wear purple today to show support for military kids.

Fri. April 8         Leilehua 2nds – Many food trucks in the parking lot from 4pm – 8pm

Sat. 7 Sun April 9 & 10   Hawaiian Scottish Festival and Highland Games at McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park from 10am – 6pm. Cost is $1.00, enjoy Scottish fun, Celtics Pipes Rock performing live music and many games at this 35th annual event.  265-1141

Sat. April 9 YMCA of Honolulu sponsors Healthy Kids Day at Bishop Museum.  Free entry when you pre-register online. 40 game and education booths, sports clinics, obstacle courses, keiki ID, environmental activities. Yummy food and snacks and entertainment. www.ymcahonolulu.org

Sun. April 10        Wahiawa Lions Club hosts annual breakfast fundraiser at Ka’ala Elementary School from 7am – 11am. Breakfast costs $6. And you can purchase ticket at the door. Enjoy scrambled eggs, pineapple chunks, sausages, rice and banana bread. Entertainment provided by Kanani Oliveira hula studio. Proceeds support scholarships for Leilehua High School grads as well as annual Veterans Day Parade. 621-0852


Sun. April 10        Hawaii Polo Club kicks off its 2016 season in Mokuleia. The day will feature a special program to honor the founder of the club. Paniolo music and a barbecue will follow the game.  Hawaii Polo Club matches will continue every Sunday through Sept. 4.  Gates open at 11am and matches begin at 2pm.
