Fri. Oct. 30 Cosmic Halloween Bowling Bash at Schofield Barracks Bowling Center. Come dressed in your Halloween costume.  DJ and music from 8pm – 1am.  Prize Giveaways!

Sat. Oct. 31 Haleiwa Store Lots has a full day of events. Keiki Halloween Costume Contest from 1pm – 2pm with registration beginning at 11am and open to kids from age 1 to 13. Only open to first 50 kids to register. From 12 – 3 arts and crafts sessions. Costumed keiki can trick or treat at the shopping center from 10am – 6pm collecting candy from merchants. 66-111 Kamehameha Hwy call 585-1770

Dole Plantation Haunted activities from 7pm – 11pm. House of Nightmares live Haunted House and a Nightmare Express train ride. The latter will feature story teller Lopaka Kapanui sharing ‘hair-raising’ ghost stories. Dole Plantation cautions that the experience is not suited for children and those under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost $10 to ride the Nightmare Express or $13. to enter the House of Nightmares.  Dole-plantation.com

Sat. Oct. 24          Halloween Fun Fest at Wahiawa Shopping Center and town center from 10am – 2pm.  Mad Science magic show at 10:30, games, slime booths, and crafts. Costume contest at noon for ages 10 and under. 808-221-2774

Sat. Oct. 24          Wahiawa Lions will hold a clothing and canned food drive from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Wahiawa Shopping Center in front of Longs to benefit needy families in the Wahiawa area.  Monetary donations will also be accepted.
All kinds of clothing will be accepted. Canned foods especially needed are tuna, meats, and baked beans, as well as vegetables and fruits.

Oct. 16 – 18 Food and New Product Show at the Blaisdell Center. Admission is $5.00

Sat. Oct. 17 Zombie Dash Hawaii. This 5K course winds through the Turtle Bay property with zombies chasing runners along the way. There are obstacles like tires, ropes and climbing challenges but the course is designed to be family friendly. Runners must work in teams of four to find 4 scientists scattered throughout the zombie infested trail. For the entire backstory and to register go to zombiedashhawaii.com. Cost is $49. Check in begins at 2pm and race starts at 3pm. Still looking for 80 zombies as well as other living volunteers to handle things like check in or monitoring the course.

Every 3rd Sunday of the month  Waimea Valley Ohana Family Day. Admission for Kama’aina and military with valid ID is $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for kids and senior.  Experience Hula, Lei making, keiki scavenger Hunt, storytelling, mini tournaments, petroglyph rubbing and much more call 808-638-7766

Sun. Oct. 18        Craft, Gift & Rubberstamp Expo at the Blaisdell Center – Hawaii Suite from 9am – 3pm for FREE. Featuring local vendors selling a wide variety of crafts, gift items and supplies. Including a crafter’s clearance sale. nanstar@hawaii.rr.com


Sun. Oct. 18 Soroptimist International plans a Membership Tea Party from noon to 2pm at Wahiawa Botanical Garden, featuring high tea and delectable dishes as guests wear hats and share the groups mission to improve the lives of women and girls. Reservations are due one week ahead and the public is welcome. Call 772-8274
