- Monday, March 25 -- The office is open, but there is no school. If you know of new school-aged children who moved into your area during the Spring Break, please let them know that they need to register for school. If they have all their paperwork in by noon on March 25, they can begin school on Wednesday, March 27.
- Tuesday, March 26 -- HOLIDAY - (Prince Kuhio Day) - Who is Prince Kuhio and why do we celebrate this day? Do a Google search to find out.
- Wednesday, March 27 -- First day back to school for the 4th quarter of SY 2012-2013

- Friday, March 29 -- HOLIDAY - Good Friday
- Sunday, March 31 - Easter Sunday
Local author and poet, Sue Cowing, will read her poems and talk with families about being a writer. From 2:10-3:00 at the Hale Kula Library. Mrs. Cowing's books will be available for purchase and families who pre-ordered may pick them up. Mrs. Cowing will sign books from 3:00-3:30. Have you created your character yet? It's not too late! Families are invited to "create a character" for the Story Laboratory Book Fair. Characters must be original and free standing. Information went home in your child's Wednesday folder before break or find the flier on the library website: http://halekulalibrary.weebly.com/ Characters will be due in the library by Friday, April 5.
The Polynesian Cultural Center would like to invite you to attend the Grand Opening of their new Hawaiian Village (2pm to 8pm) and their Hawaiian Journey (5pm to 7pm) movie experience. It is free and open to the public so they encourage you to visit them on Friday March 29th, 2013. There will be a special concert from 7pm to 8pm with Mana’o Company. This sounds like a nice opportunity to experience the Polynesian Cultural Center if you haven't already done so.
