ACS offers Home Alone Safety interactive workshop to provide children with tools to make responsible decisions as they prepare to stay home alone. Open to 9 and 10 year olds. March 19 at the Kalakaua Community Center 9am – 3pm. Must sign up with ACS prior to attending

Honolulu 5K for kids is on Sunday April 28. This race is 3.1 miles, starting and ending at the Frank Fasi civic center in Honolulu. Proceeds from this race go back to the schools to help fund PE programs. Enter online at www.honolulu5K.org     

Author Sue Cowling will visit Hale Kula on March 28, 2013.  Students took a flier/book order home in their Wednesday folder.  Please ask your child if he/she would like to attend.  More information on the Library Website:  http://halekulalibrary.weebly.com/author-sue-cowing.html  Order forms are due by Friday, March 15.  

 Department of Land and Natural Resources, Hunter's Education Program will be presenting a special, FREE, 2 Day Hunter's Ed Class at Leilehua High School on April 5 (Friday 5:45-10pm) and April 6 (7:45am-5pm).  Participants must be at least 10 years old, commit to both days and pass a test at the end to receive their license.  For more information call or email Arlene Ogura 808-622-6593 arlene_ogura@notes.k12.hi.us

                      Bamboo Treasures. Bring your keiki (3-5 years old) to explore the uses of bamboo by hiking through a grass jungle to search for bamboo treasures and then make a bamboo craft.
