Friendly reminders :-)

Please remember that the parking lot in front of the school is for staff only during designated hours.  There is sufficient parking in the lot across the school near McNair Gate and by the 4-way stop where the JPOs monitor traffic.  Now that the weather is nicer, you may want to start walking or biking to school again.  With all the construction on base, walking or biking can be less stressful than sitting in a long line that inches along slowly.

Also, we notice that the noise level from the hallways is getting louder at the end of the school day.  Please monitor the volume of your conversations so students are not distracted.  Teachers like to bring closure to the end of the day, and it can be challenging when parents are hanging out by the classroom or when the noise level is distracting.  Many schools do not allow parents in the hallways before the end-of-school bell rings.  We have not made that rule, and if everyone cooperates, we won't have to.  I ask that you self-monitor the noise level and keep your little ones under control so teachers can teach and students can learn.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Jan Iwase, Principal
