Auditions
Once again Central Theatre Arts
Academy Performing Arts Learning Center is getting ready to hold auditions for
their latest production, The Sound of Music. As a state learning center,
they are interested in reaching as many public school students as possible.
This year they are looking for children aged 5-18 as younger children for the
von Trapp family, and older students to play all of the adult roles. There is
no cost to any student who is involved in productions.
Mililani
High School is the host school for CTAA. All rehearsals and performances will
take place at Mililani High School after school. There is more information
available on their website. www.CentralTheatreArtsAcademy.org
Helping victims of Super Storm Sandy
Third grade has been working very hard
on a community unit and has decided to reach beyond our state lines and help
those that were victims of Super Storm Sandy. They are collecting money (coins)
in each classroom. A letter should have gone home with the youngest and only
students in their Wed. Folders and each student will have a chance to donate in
the ziploc bags. Third Grade will come around and collect the bags daily. The
money collected will be put onto two gift cards one for the Brooklyn Foundation
and the other for Save the Children. This continues until Nov. 30
