5/20 - 5/26

Next week there are 2 award assemblies. If you received a white letter that is for Award Assembly on Monday morning. There are 2 assemblies- 1 for upper grades and 1 for lower. Monday honors Physical Fitness and other yearly awards. If you received folded blue invitation that is for Super Eagle of the Quarter Assembly on Wednesday at 8:30. 2 students are nominated each quarter by their teacher and this is the 4th assembly of the year.

 Yearbooks are sold out. School T shirts are on sale for $6.00 in P15 B

Parents who have students with medication in the health room. Please remember to pick it up for the summer. We cannot hold medications over the summer break. At that time you can also pick up the medication form if you'd like to have medication stored in the health room for SY 2016/17.

Lost and Found items will be donated when school ends. Check out the items outside cafeteria on bench.

After school Friday and all next week - Check out the Volunteer Appreciation Bulletin Board on the outside of cafeteria. Hale Kula appreciates all the 235 parents that have donated their time to making the school and classrooms a better place.

Book Swap and Icey Pop sale in the cafe after school. Bring a book and swap for another. Icey Pops for sale 50 cents

Tues. May 24       School starts at 7:55 every day

Wed. May 25       Super Eagle Assembly in the cafeteria 8:30am – 9:30am

Thurs. May 26      5th grade Graduation in the cafeteria at 8:30am
                      Kindergarten End of Year celebration all day long
                      Last day of school for 2015 – 2016

May 20 – 22              Amazing Hawaii Comic Con returns to Hawaii Convention Center this weekend. Features ‘The Walking Dead’ creator Robert Kirkman, DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee and many more. Plus, expect panels, exhibitors, artists and costumes. amazing@hawaiicomiccon.com

May 21       Emergency Preparedness Fair at Mililani High cafeteria from 10am – 2pm. Featuring experts and resources to help families get ready for disasters. Lessons on building emergency kit and communication plan from the American Red Cross, Fire Department and more. Area schools will perform. Food and drinks available for purchase.768-5009

May 21       Therapeutic Horsemanship of Hawaii Horse Show and Country Fair Fundraiser at Waimanalo Polo Field from 9am – 2pm, Free. Therapeutic Horsemanship of Hawaii hosts its annual fundraiser with plenty of games, food, vendors, pony rides, tack sales, bounce houses and more 342-9036

May 25      Lei making class at Wahiawa Botanical Garden at 1pm. These lei will be used Memorial Day at Punchbowl. Call 522-7066 to register

Saturdays and Sundays Art at the Zoo fence from 9am – 4pm. Enjoy art along the outside fence of the Honolulu Zoo and meet the artists. Located on Monsarrat Ave. Free street parking and across street in lot at Kapiolani Park
