Leaving Children Unattended in Vehicles:  Staff members have reported that some parents are leaving young children in their cars with the motor running and the doors locked.  Please know that as per USGA-Hawaii Child-Supervision Guidelines: No child under the age of 10 may be left unattended in a vehicle.  Children ages 10 and 11 may be left up to 15 minutes as long as the keys have been removed and the hand brake applied.  Military Police bicycle patrol will be monitoring.  If you have kindergarten age children that you are dropping off and wish to be escorted to class in the mornings, please ask our staff for assistance.  Thank you, Agnes Leinau, Vice Principal

Students in grades 3-5 are invited to Thursday Crafternoon, March 10, from 2:15-4:00 in F4.. If your child would like to come, please register via this link:  https://goo.gl/zzszMv  Students will be making duck tape pens and decorating covers for journals. Students should bring $1.00 for supplies and snack to eat after school.

Fri. March 11        Dramatic students have been rehearsing 2 plays. Performances during the day for all classes. Everyone is invited to 6:00pm performance in the cafeteria

Feb. 27 – March 28      Butterflies at Pearlridge Uptown Center Court Mon – Sat 10am – 8pm Sundays 10am – 6pm. Cost is $4.00. See hundreds of living butterflies and learn more about their life cycle. 203-2366

Mach 4 – 6 Waialua Carnival with EK Fernandez rides and games, live entertainment, food, games and fun. Waialua High School March 4 from 6pm – 10pm, March 5 from noon – 10pm and March 6 from noon – 6pm  waialuacarnival.org

Fri. March 4        Mililani 1st Friday at the high school from 4pm – 8pm. Offering about 30 vendors of all kinds of food. Proceeds help pay for campus improvements. Call 307-4323

Sat. March 5       Foster Care Trainings at Hawaiian Humane Society, 2700 Waialae Ave from 9am – 10am for Free. Class for those interested in fostering pets. 356-2222

Sat. March 5       YMCA Camp Erdman Community Day 10am – 3pm Free. Spend a day at Camp Erdman and try out activities including archery, swimming, rock wall climbing, challenges and more. Pre-registration required. Camperdman.org or 637-4615

Sun. March 6       Comic Jam Hawaii at Pearlridge Downtown Center Court 1pm – 4pm Free. Local artists can gather, talk story and draw collaborative cartoons, illustrations and sketches.  203-2366

Tues. March 8      Bishop Museum hosts partial soar eclipse viewing event from 3pm – 6;30pm. Hawaii Astronomical Society will have visual aids and special planetarium shows will be running throughout the event. 847-3511

Sat. March 12      Dole Plantation hosts its annual Family Fun Day from 10am – 2pm. Live music, hula, arts and crafts, prizes, games and food, much of it run by and for area schools. 220-4981
