The evacuation drill went quite well today. We were told that this was the most orderly and efficient school evacuation drill so far :-) Special thanks to the teachers and other staff for preparing and walking quietly with the students, to Mrs. Leinau for coordinating everything, to the office staff for ensuring that they were prepared, and to the parents for trusting us to take care of their children in case of an emergency. We got a few suggestions from the military, and we will be changing a few things for next year's evacuation drill. I hope you all received the mass message we sent out at about 8:45 a.m.
We are proud of our VEX IQ team for qualifying for the World Championship in Anaheim in late April. We have funds for their travel to California, but the team is fundraising to pay for their lodging, ground transportation, meals, and incidentals.
