Art Afterschool is Thurs. Jan. 23 and 30.  Bright green flier came home this week. We hope many families attend this fun event funded by the HUI.  Come to the grassy area behind the cafeteria after school, enjoy snacks, there will be a short PTO meeting. Then our art teacher will give instructions on technique and we all make art.  Return the following Thursday to paint and finish your creation.  Then let it dry here over night and return Jan. 31 to pick up your original art.  If you wish to enter it in the Book Fair piñata contest, you can take it to the library with appropriate paperwork.

Free training for parents and professionals on Children’s Challenging Behavior: What it is and what you can do about it. 2 doctors provide tips and tools on Jan. 27 from 6pm – 8pm at Mililani High School. Register at hawaiibcbagirl@yahoo.com

                      Boxtops 4 Education pick up from classroom – You can turn them in anytime, remember to put your childs name on the baggie. We also collect Campbells labels for education

Sat. Jan. 18        Wellness Festival in Haleiwa 66-434 Kamehameha Highway from 9am – 9pm. FREE, donations welcome. Enjoy music, yoga, food, art, plants, wellness and dance with sustainability theme. Swap clothing, plants and seeds 637-2117

                      Chinese New Year Celebration at Wahiawa Shopping Center 10am – 1pm. This annual event features many different aspects of Chinese culture. Free lucky drawings, numerology readings and year of the horse gift sales are ongoing  221-2774
