4/13 - 4/19


April is the month of the military child. Everyone is invited to wear purple on Monday, April 15 as a visible way to show support and thank military youth for thier strength and sacrifices.

Story Laboratory Family event on April 18, 4:30-6:00
Stop by the Book Fair Family event before heading to the Hale Kula Talent Show!  The family event will be your last chance to shop the book fair and to explore many hands-on science stations. Experiment with color changing paper & icy magic, play with flubber, challenge your brain power with games and so much more.  It's free and it's fun for the whole family! Talent Show starts in the cafeteria at 6:00pm


Honolulu 5K for kids is on Sunday April 28. This race is 3.1 miles, starting and ending at the Frank Fasi civic center in Honolulu. Proceeds from this race go back to the schools to help fund PE programs. Enter online at www.honolulu5K.org       Deadline to enter is April 22.

If your child will not be attending Hale Kula next year please contact the office so that they can have a release packet ready for you to take with you.  Just a reminder if your child's last day is May 24th, your packet will be ready for pickup on May 29th.

                      Chaperone Training in P14 at 8:00am
                      Wahiawa Botanical Garden offers class from 12:30pm – 2:30pm to make lei and roses with ti leaves. Reservations required cost is $5. call 621-5463

Wed. April 17       Book Fair is open in the library from 7:00am – 2:30pm
                      Volunteer Brainstorming Ideas for next year on PTO in P14 at 12:30pm

Thurs. April 18     Hawaii Opera Theater presentation for 1st and 3rd grade & 2nd and 4th
                      Poem in your pocket day. Celebrate poetry month & have poem in your pocket              Nene Ceremony field trip for select 4th & 5th graders
