Notice from the military re. the closure of Karsten Thot Bridge:
DES is implementing the following gate closures
and/or restrictions to alleviate traffic congestion from the Wahiawa Bridge
closure:
Lyman Gate:
To
alleviate traffic congestion on Kunia Road, when turning right into Lyman Gate
individuals will be directed to the right queue lane and then through the
structure. ID card holders to the left
lane, visitors to the right lane.
McNair Gate:
McNair
gate will be closed to traffic coming from Honolulu and turning left into
McNair Gate from 0500-0900 M-F for the next six weeks. McNair gate's out bound
lane turning left towards North Shore will be closed from 0500-0900 M-F for the
next six weeks.

Survey cards
Every
child in the state was given a card and they must all be turned in. If you
haven’t turned it in then you will receive another card next week. Please fill
these out and return as soon as possible.
Winner of Prize drawing
Everyone
that took Chaperone Training or updated their training last month was entered
in a contest. And the winner of the
$10.00 Wal-Mart gift card is Megan Bennett.
Congratulations, stop by P14 to pick up your gift card. (FYI this was printed in Sept. Parent
Bulletin) Chaperone classes continue to be offered once a week throughout the
entire school year. So any time you see it listed in Highlights or this
Bulletin just come to P14 for a half hour to get trained.
School Bus Riders: The office is accepting payment for Quarter
2. The quarterly fees remain at: $72.00 rt; $36 ow. Checks should be addressed to: Department of Education. For current riders who pay by the quarter,
bring in your bus pass to be punched.
Coupons are available at $12.50/sheet of 10 (cash only). For questions about the bus, please call the
school's office.

Fair Programs
Thanks to all the parents that bought classroom books from
teacher wish lists. 276 books were purchased for our teachers during the Book Fair!
Pass the Torch of Reading was a huge success thanks to your
generous donations. The class with the most money raised was B2, Ms. Florexil,
2nd place was G1 Ms. Masumoto, 3rd place was H1 Ms.
Dunham.
