Sat. Jan. 23 Wahiawa Lions collect used eyeglasses from 10am
– 2pm at the Wahiawa Longs Drugs in order to clean and distribute them to needy
countries. Call Jack Kampfer at 621-0852
Sat. Jan. 23 Mini
Chess tournament at Kapolei Public Library noon – 1pm is registration and 1pm-
4pm tourney. FREE. Hawaii Chess Federation hosts a mini tournament in 15 – 20
minute rounds with boards and pieces provided. Age 12 and up welcome. 693-7020
Waipahu HS students developed an app called "My Future"
& won the state's Verizon Innovate App Challenge. Info here
They are now competing for a "fan favorite award."
