8/1 - 8/9
Welcome back to a great year at Hale Kula Elementary
If you have taken Chaperone Training last year, you do not need to retake the class. This year you can renew your Chaperone training by filling out bottom half of green 'get connected' paper that will come home in the first Wednesday envelope. Just turn it in once for your family and you are good to go on any field trips this year.

Summer Update
We hope all of you are enjoying your summer break! We've been very busy at school, getting ready for the big move to the new administration building. There's still work to be done, but we should start moving on July 21. Yeah! Meanwhile, lots of work continues and will continue throughout the next couple of years. We have a blog hkesfollowourprogress.blogspot.com. You can sign up to receive periodic updates.
This past May, we had a lot of families PCS, a normal occurrence for our military-impacted school. If a new family has moved into your area, please let them know that our office is open for new registrations. They can get information about our school by checking our website at www.halekula.k12.hi.us. Information on registration requirements can be found on the Department of Education's web site under "Enrolling in School." Since we will be busy moving offices during the week of July 21, it would really be better for them to come earlier rather than later. Normally, the office is packed with families registering their children during the week preceding the start of school.
A few dates to remember:
